Why do we call it the "Happy Hut"?

Happy Huts are bright and airy and have a fully glazed gable at the front and a large skylight at the back so when working or relaxing inside, you are bathed in pleasing, invigorating, natural light. This is so much better than a dull interior environment which conversely tends to dull the spirits.

Additionally, for many thousands of years humankind was nomadic, building temporary overnight shelters from branches and whatever they could find as they moved north and south with the seasons. These shelters were designed to be made quickly as needed yet remain waterproof or stable in high winds. They were more like a tee-pee shape (nothing like we've had for the last few thousand years with vertical walls and a separate roof - very slow to build) .

So genetically we are predisposed to like sides that lean in against each other to act as both a roof and walls. This is what the Happy Huts emulate, so we just "feel right" with them, as we appreciate the natural light they deliver.

This feel-good factor is why they are known as "Happy Huts", they are comfortable dens, priced much lower less than competitor buildings with such a high spec.
